Major rebranding project | The Beacon, Wantage

The timing was right to make a major change for Wantage Civic Hall. As a visible sign of a fresh start: providing a resource that would be valued by local groups, businesses and the general public.

A fresh start

Luna worked with the team to create a new strategy and redefine the identity for Wantage Civic Hall, including a new and distinctive brand name. The Beacon name was chosen to symbolise the positive dimension of the rebrand, namely: 'illuminating the local community'. The logo design colour coded the four key areas: Activites, Events, Business and Celebrations which was carried through using sub-branding.

Brand relaunch

The rebranding work was taken right through to a full relaunch. The project covered: new brand name, brand strategy and full brand identity, but this would have not achieved the desired impact without significant changes to the services provided. Rebranding is not a cosmetic exercise and needs depth and meaning to be successful, as this project proved.

"We are really pleased with the design and branding that Luna created for The Beacon. The bright vibrant logo is now recognised throughout the town and this distinctive brand has helped us grow the business. We would happily recommend them to others looking for a new image for their organisation." Jo Paterson | Partnership Development Officer | South Oxfordshire and Vale of White Horse District Councils
